A PATCHWORK OF DESIGN TALENT
Swim Week Colombo
Broadening beyond the confines of topography, and bringing global and cultural influences to our wardrobes - fashion, music, art and food have fostered a rich, often brave and unabashed relationship through the years. Discerning fashion, we believe stems from the creative consciousness of an artist dedicated to bring art to life. Carrying the potential to change norms that come within the fields of stereotypical apparel, fashion is a phenomenon that descends through an intimate relationship with the physical body and, by extension, the personal identity of the individual. On the 3rd of August, Swim Week Colombo under the creative direction of Founder and Managing Director Ajai Vir Singh and CEO & Director Fazeena Rajabdeen, showcased swimwear and resort wear, by bringing together four manifestation of fashion, food, art and music to host the week-long festival.
Swim Week Colombo, showcased from the 8th to 10th of August at the Shangri-La Hotel Colombo, Hilton Colombo and Galle Face Hotel, unveiled a string of eminent local and international fashion talent exuding charms of robust design, unique styles and inventive collaborations. A selection of fashion designers of the highest calibre including Sonali Dharmawardhana, Annika Fernando, Fouzul Hameed, Sharmila Ruberu, Aviva Bidapa, Wendell Rodricks, Studio Verandah, Aqua Blu and Nivedita Saboo to name a few, showcased their latest collections.
